Priscilla Compton Crafford, 79, of Bridgton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020 while on hospice care.

She was born on May 18, 1941 in Attleboro, Mass., a daughter of Richard and Helen (Blanchard) Compton. 

A very well-educated woman, Priscilla received a master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College and a master’s of Arts Degree from (School of Adjustment Counselor) Rhode Island College. She also attended the Boston University School of Social Work, Advanced School of Adjustment Counselor Practice.

Priscilla worked in the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, in education at grade school level through vocational levels and at the University of Maine Extension in York County.

She enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing, gardening, horseback riding, birding and sailing. In her home, she loved cooking, weaving, reading, jewelry making and design, and supporting the Boston Red Sox as an avid fan.

Priscilla is loved by her husband, Howard, whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage to on Aug. 5, 2020; three sisters; nieces and nephews.
