Grace Ann Knight, 96, of Bridgton, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021 in the comfort of her home.

She was born on July 11, 1924, in Norristown, Pa., a daughter of Alfonso and Angela (DiGiamo) Pizza and attended Saint Catherine schools.

Grace moved to Maine in 1950, where she worked locally in the Bridgton Shoe Shop and JR Mains Wood Turning.

She was a foster grandparent for more than 20 years, later volunteering until she was 91 and lovingly referred to as “Nanny Grace” by countless children.

Grace took great pleasure in sending greeting cards to not only family and friends, but also to friends of friends.

She is loved by her children, Marie Muston, Murray Harding and Rosemary Leonard; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  

She was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Chuck; and her daughter, Carole.

Private family interment will be at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Bridgton.

Gifts in her memory may be made to the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot Street, Bridgton, ME 04009.
