Thomas M. Bardsley

Thomas Michael Bardsley, 67, passed away in his home on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Tom was born on August 6, 1954, to Clayton “Pezo” and Arlene Bardsley. He grew up in Bridgton and attended Lake Region High School. He held many jobs as a machinist before joining Down East Innovations, where he worked for 24 years with the most recent role being in Quality Assurance. He was married to Diane, who was the love of his life, in 1976. Together, they enjoyed listening to music, their dogs, and their family.

As a child through adulthood, Tom loved going to his family’s camp on the Saco River where he learned to hunt and fish. He was a huge New England sports fan, enjoyed family gatherings, and watching his grandchildren grow.

Tom is survived by his son, Josh and his wife Jen, and his son Kyle and his wife Jenny, and grandchildren Jacoby, Drew, Kara and Jesse, his brother Joe and sister-in-law, Sue, as well as his mother-in-law, Wanda Berry-Dunlap, plus many nieces and nephews who adored him.

He is predeceased by his wife, Diane.

“Tom was one of THE most caring, unselfish, and fun loving bad-asses I’ve ever met,” Jim Berry, brother-in-law. And if you ever knew him, you know that this much is true.

He will be missed beyond measure.

A private ceremony will be held at North Bridgton Cemetery in the coming weeks.
