Jeanne Morton-Tenney

Jeanne Morton-Tenney

Jeanne Morton-Tenney passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Portland on Nov. 24, 1937 to June and Charles Normann of Naples.

Jeanne leaves behind three sons, Michael Morton of Naples, Thomas Morton of Casco and Timothy Morton, also of Naples; her two daughters, Susan Fogg of Naples and Julie Beckwith of Windham; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She has two surviving sisters, Dea Dea Robbins of Naples and Margie Webber of Winthrop.

She was predeceased by her son, Patrick, who died in 1974.

Jeanne enjoyed the simple things in life, reruns of the Waltonsand Little House, a dish of ice cream, and a nice hot cup of tea, while reading. She loved decorating her home for the holidays, keeping her candy dishes filled for visits from family and friends, but mostly she loved the Lord. Jeanne was a prayer warrior and she shared the gospel of good news with just about everyone she met.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, laughter, and gracious demeanor. She had the gift of gab and was also a good listener.

A graveside burial will be held on Sunday, July 24 at 2 p.m. at the Morton family cemetery on the Songo School Road. She will be laid to rest alongside her son, Pat, and her former husband, Richard Morton. Please feel welcome to attend. She will be greatly missed.
