Gloria J. Horan

LEWISTON — Gloria Jean Horan, 82, of Windham, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Central Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on August 29, 1943, in Caribou, she was the beloved eldest of 10 children of Kenneth and Evelyn Lewis. Affectionately nicknamed “Go Go” as a child, Gloria lived up to her moniker with her boundless energy and frequent visits to family and friends.
A devoted wife of 62 years, Gloria shared a loving life with her late husband, Timothy G. Horan. Fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren, she delighted in spending time with family — whether at large gatherings or in quieter, one on one visits. Her warm laughter and generous spirit lit up every room she entered.
Gloria’s faith was central to her life. For many years, she served as a catechism teacher at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bridgton, sharing her love of God and the church with countless young people each Sunday.
She is predeceased by her husband, Timothy G. Horan; grandchildren Andrew and Travis Horan; brother Steven Lewis; and sister Sheila Lewis.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Karen Morton and her husband Michael of Naples, Kevin Horan of Bridgton, and Timothy W. Horan and his wife Gail of Otisfield; grandchildren, Cassie and Ryan Charette, Justin Edwards, Matthew Horan, and Rachel Horan; great-grandchildren, Jordan Horan, Kaylee and Ryan Charette; brothers and sisters, Carol Gauvin, Kenneth Lewis Jr. and his wife Penny, Terry Lewis and his wife Gail, Michael Lewis and his wife June, Arlene Mariner and her husband Charles, Sherry Harmon and her husband Richard, and Lori Lewis LeBlanc and her husband Michel.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco.
