AUBURN — After a long courageous battle with cancer, Arthur L. Edwards Jr. passed away on Sept. 12, 2020, while in hospice care at the age of 59.

Lee was born on January 17, 1961, in Norway to Arthur L. Edwards Sr. and Elois A. Edwards. He grew up in the Otis eld, Harrison area. Lee worked in the local lumber mills until he went to school to realize his dream of truck driving. He logged many miles over many years driving coast to coast. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed shing and NASCAR, loved cooking and cooked many meals for friends and family.

He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Betty Edwards, their children, daughter Jessica Edwards, their son Arthur L. Edwards III and Teresa Batchelder and nine beloved grandchildren; sisters Fay and Rick Chapman, Cindy and Wayne Polston and Missy Robinson; his brother Tony Edwards; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Whitley, Debbie Laveigne, Ruth Bartlett; brother-in- law Brian Knight; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their love and gratitude to his “ladies” at Bridgton Oncology Department for the care.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton, followed by interment at Oakdale Cemetery in Otiseld. Family and friends may attend visitation on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks will be required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
