Bernie Nielsen, 71, previously of Thomas Lake Shores, son of Victor and Edna Nielsen from Walnut, Iowa, passed away peacefully in Trinity, Fla., on Dec. 14, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

They lived on Thompson Lake in Casco for many years before moving to Florida.

He is survived by his wife Cindy; his two children, Heath Nielsen and Carrie Riel along with her husband Joe Riel; his siblings, Rogene Terrian, Vicki Aughe, and Jay Nielsen; and his grandchildren, Eric Nielsen and Joey Riel.

Bernie had a combined fifty years of service working as a computer engineer for Honeywell, Honeywell Bull, Getronics and Compucom.

Services will be delayed until next year when the family can reunite in celebration of his life.
