Casco Town Office reopens
CASCO — The Casco Town Office is now open to the public with no appointment needed.
Town Manager Courtney O’Donnell recently made the announcement.
“The Town of Casco continues to make decisions that we believe are in the best interest for the community while taking into account the latest information, guidance and mandates from state and federal authorities related to the COVID-19 pandemic,” a statement read. “Our goal remains to ensure the safety of our employees and residents in the most responsible ways possible. We apologize for the inconveniences that these measures have and will cause.”
There is a limit of two customers inside the building at a time. Face masks are mandatory and town officials ask everyone to practice physical distancing. Those who do not wish to wear a face mask will not be allowed inside the building, and instead, will be helped via phone, mail, drop box and/or e-mail.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to navigate the steps laid out by state and federal officials and work to keep everyone safe,” the public statement adds.
The Community Center building remains closed to the public, except for municipal purposes. This is likely to change as local officials determine the next best steps for the fall.
