John B. Drew, 56

RAYMOND — John “Grumpa” B. Drew, 56, passed unexpectedly at his home in the early hours of Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021.
He was born in Portland on July 14, 1964, the son of Frank D. Drew Sr. and the late Christine M. Drew.
John spent most of his life as a diesel mechanic, as well as driving semis and dump trucks. John was a jack of all trades; he could fix your car, floor, roof, electrical, some masonry, lawn work, and he could dig your well or septic, etc.
He enjoyed spending time in his home, working on machinery in the yard or watching television while tinkering with new electronics and cuddling with his dogs, Bella and Daisy. John cherished spending time with his grandchildren, spoiling them with love and new toys; he was called Grumpa, a twist to the casual Grampa.
John was a hard worker, but no matter how tired, he always had time for his family at the end of the day.
John was predeceased by his son, Stephen G. Odum; and mother, Christine M. Drew.
Surviving are his wife and love of his life of 27 years, Colleen (Odum) Drew; daughter, Callie S. Drew and a grandson of Raymond and granddaughter; father, Frank D. Drew Sr.; brothers, Frank D. Drew Jr. and Robert Drew, all of Raymond.
Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
A service will be held at a later date.
