Julie Flanigan, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was 74 years old.

Julie married Basil Flanigan in 1973 on top of Pleasant Mountain and together they built a home focused on family and friends. Julie was known for opening that home to those in need, from teens and family members to even taking in stray animals. They spent many happy years boating on the lakes in the Bridgton and Naples area, bringing laughter and joy to those around them.

She spent most of her career as the administrator of an elderly housing complex in Portland before retiring to Florida to enjoy some of her favorite things: reading, relaxing on the beach, shelling and snorkeling.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 47 years, Basil Flanigan; children, Lee Flanigan and Julie Bennett; sister, Jean Mascola; and all their respective families and friends, which are too numerous to list.
