“Matilda” has become another victim of Covid-19.

Lake Region Community Theatre Thursday announced that the summer production will be shelved until 2021. In a statement, LRCT said, It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of our summer musical, ‘Matilda’ until the summer of 2021. With so many unknowns right now and few answers, we reluctantly made the difficult decision to postpone.”

Next year, 2021, will prove to be important for the local community theatre as it celebrates its 25th year.

“We plan to fill this anniversary year with our ninth Annual Lake Region’s Got Talent, another Murder Mystery, a Children’s Theater Workshop, ‘Matilda’ and some type of retrospective of our first 25 years,” LRCT said. “We continue to appreciate all of your support. We will sadly miss sharing our summer musical with you.”
