Robert J. Wespiser

NAPLES — Robert J. Wespiser, 86, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from natural causes.
Born in Chicopee, Mass., May 12, 1935, a son of the late Anthony J. and Florence M. (Patenaude) Wespiser. He attended St. Joan of Arc School and Chicopee High School.
He has lived in Naples since 2001 and prior to that in Acton, Mass., since 1965. Bob was a gifted mechanical engineer, a graduate of Western New England College, Class of 1964. He enjoyed engineering work at Kollmorgen, before moving to Acton to join Itek, followed by Honeywell, Inframetrics, and then New England Optical Systems.
Bob made a difference for all around him with his kindness, smile and wit. He was devoted to his family, generously sharing his ability to do or creatively fix anything. His family is grateful for the wonderful example of love and commitment as we journey through life without him.
He is survived by his loving children, Robert P. Wespiser and his wife Diane of Lee, Mass., Kathleen M. Tragert and her husband John of Naples, Carol A. Stephansky and her husband Mark of Whitman, Mass., Patricia W. Gill and her husband Christopher of Longmeadow, Mass., Anthony J. Wespiser and his wife Christine of Townsend, Mass., William J. Wespiser and his wife Cynthia Worcester of Naples; cherished grandchildren Bryan Wespiser, Adam Wespiser, Emily (Wespiser) Andenmatten, Amy (Tragert) Politano, Jack Tragert, Ryan Stephansky, Jason Stephansky, Nathan Stephansky, Stephen Stephansky, Bradford Gill, Sally Gill, Anna Wespiser, and Chloe Wespiser; five great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces, and his dear companion Marcella Moran of Chicopee, Mass.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Lucille (Laramee) Wespiser in 2011.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 12 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hallfuneralhome. net.
