Rotary to hold Community Kettle curbside barbecue this Thursday, May 14

During this difficult time, the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club would like to brighten the mood of the community by offering a community kettle barbecue with curbside pickup. This Thursday, May 14, dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. at the Bridgton Community Center parking lot on Depot Street and it will be a first-come, first-served arrangement.
The Rotary encourages folks to eat their meals in the parking lot and enjoy a little fresh air and social distancing fun. The menu will consist of slow cooked pulled pork, barbecue chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. No better way to kick off the warmer weather than with the classic barbecue. This is a free meal for all of those who are in need.
The Rotary does suggest a $10 donation per person for those of you who can afford to help out. All donations will go toward the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club’s COVID-19 Projects, now mostly with local food pantries, and including future community kettles during the quarantine.
Food will be prepared by our favorite local chef and Rotarian, Nicholas Orgo of MANE Catering and Event Services Rotary looks forward to seeing you all there!
If you choose to help by donating directly, you may make your check out to Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 845, Bridgton, ME 04009 indicating for food pantry, Covid-19 or general project support.
