WATERFORD — Sonja C. Millett, 69, of Waterford passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

She was born April 11, 1951 in Kalispell, Montana, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Hanson) Olson. She was a graduate of Flathead High in Kalispell, Montana. 

She was:

An integral member, music director, pianist, organist, and singer of the North Waterford Church, as well as secretary for the Oxford County United Parish

A typesetter for much of her professional career, most recentlyat the Bridgton News for nearly two decades 

A fierce and dedicated worker, no matter the cause.

A mother and grandmother.

A best friend.

Her hugs were grounding, comforting and plenty. Her knowledge and talents were endless. Her hobbies and passions ranged from the simple pleasure of time at the ocean with family to her skillful singing with the Bridgton Community Chorus.  

She is survived and missed by her two daughters, Jessica Richards and Jennifer Morin; son-in-law, Yvon Morin; her five grandchildren, Zackery and partner Timothy, Jade, Cam Jr., Thomas and Allyson; a brother, Hank Olson; a sister, Sherry Mahugh; a brother-in-law, Fred and his wife Milly Millett; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by companion, Jeff Millett; her parents; a sister, Lillian Rauthe; and a brother, Norman Olson. 

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the fall of 2020.
