Virginia (Sargent) Weeman, 77

Virginia "Ginny" Ann (Sargent) Weeman, 77, of Bridgton, formerly of Denmark and Brownfield, Maine, quietly passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Bella Point Residential Care Center after a long illness.
Ginny was born on Dec. 6th, 1941, in Portland, to Walter A. Sargent and Ruth A. (Hutchins) Sargent of Denmark. She married Charles A. (Mains) Weeman on Dec. 30, 1959. Ginny was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was the smiling face at the back register of Laverdiere’s in Bridgton for many years. Hardworking and compassionate, Ginny spent her lifetime caring for her family and for others. She loved to read, put together puzzles, watch golf and go for long walks with her lovely puppy Lady. Many will remember her as the sweet old woman walking her adorable dog up and down Pond Road in Bridgton. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the chipmunks play in her front yard.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Ruth, her brother Harlan, and her loving husband Charlie.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lori Anthony of North Waterboro and Sheila Weeman of Bridgton; her grandchildren, Lenny and Nicole; her sister Gertrude Johnson of Windham; and her nephews, nieces and their children.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Bella Point (formerly Bridgton Healthcare Center) for making Ginny’s last two years warm, loving, comfortable and safe.
A small graveside service will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, 1389 Bridgton Road, Fryeburg Maine 04037, www.harvesthills.org
