Wendi Ittah

MANASSAS, VA — Wendi L. Ittah, 55, formerly of Naples, Maine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, in Manassas, Virginia, with her family by her side.

Wendi was born on July 23, 1964 in Portland, Maine. Wendi is the daughter of the late Brenda E. Bullen, stepfather James J. Bullen, and the late Harold F. Norman. In high school Wendi was a member of the National Honor Society and AFS, and spent a year in Costa Rica as a foreign exchange student. She graduated from Lake Region High School with high honors. She attended George Washington College, The University of Maine in Orono, and The University of Phoenix, where she majored in International Relations and where she achieved her MBA. Wendi was a very ambitious young woman who learned both Spanish and Hebrew throughout the course of her travels.

After living in Israel for three years with her husband and son, Wendi relocated to the northern Virginia / Washington D.C. area, where she devoted her life to raising her son and working as a Federal Sales Manager for a major cyber security company. She put her son through the College of William and Mary.

Wendi, like her mother, loved her family deeply. She loved her flowers, her wildlife and her birds, especially her cardinals. She was strong and courageous as she battled her chronic illness with grace. She is survived by her former husband Matty Ittah of Israel, her only son Ariel and his wife Nadia of Virginia.

She was blessed with the news of her son and daughter-in-law expecting their first child just prior to her passing. She is also survived by her brother Peter Vachon and his wife Karen, sisters Cindy Worcester, Margaret Bernier, Heidi Mercer and husband Steve, and by her bother Thomas Bullen and his wife Liz, as well as nine nieces and nephews. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
