William E. Grimm Jr., 60

William E. Grimm Jr., 60, of Orrington, Maine, died unexpectedly at home last month.

The son of Esther M. and William E. Grimm Sr., he was born in Newton, N.J., on Oct. 16, 1958. The family relocated to Bridgton, Maine in 1970, where he attended local schools. He spent most of his career working in the construction industry.

He was predeceased by his parents.

He leaves behind two children, William E. Grimm III and his wife Emily of Norfolk, Va., and Amanda L. Grimm of Bridgton; as well as six grandchildren, William IV, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, and Abigail, all of Norfolk, Va., and Tyler Brann of Bridgton. He is also survived by his siblings Robert, Caroline and her husband Michael Corthell, Barrett and Cynthia Grimm, and Catherine Frost; his nephews, David and Matthew; and his niece, Ember.

He was an avid photographer who especially loved Acadia National Park, was a New England Patriots fan, and was well-known for his kind heart and delightfully warped sense of humor.

He will be laid to rest next to his mother in the South Bridgton cemetery.
